Since our beginning in 1920, Broome-Wood Post 292, American Legion, has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. There is no dought of the opportunity of the American Legion and especially right here in a community which has proved itself 100% patriotic. The same staunch suppport is expected from the citizens of New London that was received during any conflicts and the same willingness to push forward and help any veteran to obtain the things they deserve and to help the community to hold the things for which they fought for.Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble as seen below.

To the wonderful patriotic citizens of New London, if you are a Veteran please join us. We also have Sons and Auxilary organizations which help in raising money that is donated to many of the needs of our community such as the Salvation Army, School or community projects. Help us to continue sponsoring Scholarships for our children; give aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans, and their families . Help us to continue to support financially worthy community programs and projects. It is needless to say that the Broome-Wood American Legion Post 292 will devote every effort to uphold the 100% American Platform that the members AND the citizens have established in the past. Every veteran owes it to themselvs,thier comrades and there community to join a post as soon as possible.
